Description of the tour

DAY 1. Tour-guide will meet you at the airport. On the first day we are going to drive and walk around Minsk. It is a real city of contrast. Had lost the 80% of all its buildings it was built anew. Stalinist neoclassicism Independence Avenue will strike your imagination. It is one of the longest streets built in one architectural style in Europe. After the sightseeing tour we will head to the Second World War museum. The new building of the museum together with an obelisk "Minsk- hero city " appeared only a few years ago and represent a single architectural ensemble. The Museum consists of 4 blocks by the number of years of the war. The Museum has 10 exhibition halls, and the Museum funds amount to 143 million objects. All 10 exhibition halls of the Museum are built according to the chronology of events (from pre-war days and military operations until the reconstruction after the war of the whole country).

DAY 2. We are going to Brest, to see the imposing Brest Fortress, a symbol of heroism and resistance of the Soviet soldiers in the World War II. It’s the huge unique memorial complex. On 22 of June 1941, defenders protected the fortress for almost one month. Big part of fortress was destroyed. In 1971 the Memorial complex was opened on the Brest fortress territory. After visiting the memorial complex we will walk along the Soviet Street, which looks like any European street of the past. After that we will come back to Minsk for a night stay.

Day 3.

We will start this day from a very symbolic place. A little more than 50 kilometers away from Minsk there is the memorial complex Khatyn. The village of Khatyn was burned by the Nazis together with the residents in the spring of 1943 and became one of the main symbols of the tragedy of the soviet people in the Second World war. After visiting the memorial complex we are to visit authentic Belarussian village, where the owner of the house will treat us with home-made honey, because he has plenty of bee farms. Also this farmer has a lot of animals in enclosures, even exotic ones! He speaks only Belarusian language that is why we provide you with an excellent interpreter.

Day 4.

For this day visiting the Stalin line is planned. The Stalin line is a huge fortification system on the western border of the Soviet Union, which had constructed in 1920-1930s. it was a chain of fortifications from the Baltic sea to the Black sea. The length of this line was 1800 km! Belarus opened museum which used to be a part of fortifications not so far from Minsk in 2005 in honor of the anniversary of Victory in the World War II. There are bunkers, trenches, various military equipment. From time to time museum administration shows grandiose reconstructions of the battles of the World War II. In addition, anyone will be able to shoot from the legendary weapons of the WWII and even ride on a tank for a small fee! «The Stalin line» will not leave anyone indifferent. We are glad to offer you to visit famous Belarusian museum!
